Surya is the Co-Founder and Country Director of the United World Schools Nepal and is responsible for leading the in-country team to ensure project development, government liaison, and project innovation. Since UWS Nepal’s establishment in 2015, the organization has gone on from a simple idea to 76 schools and 11000 children working hard to make education their ticket to a bright future. He is also the co-founder and Business Development Director of Bloom Nepal Schools - the only school network providing interest-based education, and is also the co-founder and Marketing & Sales Director of Delish - Nepal’s first Greek Yogurt, with which he has successfully helped the enterprise win the NYEF Startup of the Year 2022 and New Business Age Emerging Startup of the Year 2023. Surya has been recognized by Forbes Magazine, Facebook Inc and the Asia Foundation for his work in education and sustainable development.
